About Me

About Me:
I am a 33 year old living in Northwest Wisconsin with my husband and our two cats.  I work full time and try to cram all the things I enjoy (like sewing, baking, and reading) around that.

I like trying new recipes and techniques in the kitchen. I love grocery shopping as long as the grocery store isn't crowded (which means you just have to go after 8pm around here).  I also love growing things on my deck and visiting the Farmer's Market.

Most of my favorite books have some sort of fantasy element to them.  I think it's because The Chronicles of Narnia were some of my earliest readings.  I usually have one fiction and one nonfiction book I'm reading at the same time.  If you want to see what I like, feel free to check me out on Goodreads .

I started sewing more a couple years ago.  I have enough fabric to last me for years but I always seem to find something that I think I need.  I've recently started sewing more clothes for myself.  But my favorite things to sew are projects that come together fast and are functional- like totes, purses, and bags.

I also like to putz with other handcrafts.  I really want to become proficient in knitting and crocheting.  I dabble in cardmaking, stamping, and lots of other things.

I'm definitely a homebody, but  I like to adventure out every now and then.  I love Lake Superior, coffee, lavender scented things, fabric, and the outdoors.

About Chair in the Shade:
I started Chair in the Shade on June 26, 2013 because I thought it would help me be more productive with getting through projects.  I always have a huge list of recipes I want to try, things I want to make, and stuff to sew, so I thought if I could post about my results, it might motivate me more.

What I Hope You Get Out of This Blog:
I hope you feel motivated to try something new, to finish a goal, and most of all just to enjoy simple things life has to offer.

  5. When a participant goes over 21, the hand "breaks" and loses mechanically. When players are happy with their arms, they'll "stand" . This is indicated by a slight horizontal movement with their hand, palm down over the structure. Players make their bets, then supplier starts the game. Two cards are dealt to every participant face up with two to the supplier, one 토토사이트 face up and one face down. Ultimately, the thing of the game is to carry cards that total or come close to 21 to beat the supplier who makes an attempt the identical objective.
