5 Things I'm Loving This Week

1.  Fantasy Football!  Football is really the only sport I follow with any sort of dedication.  And Fantasy Football is one of the things my husband and I both love.  We play in a league with a wide group of friends- some are people he worked with before I ever met him, some are my old friends from work, some are his friends from work.  We just drafted on Tuesday and I'm pretty happy with who I got.  I won't try to go into explaining how it's played and scoring and all but if there's any other Fantasy Footballers out there, give me a holler with your team name.  My team are the Lady Bugs which is a riff off my married last name.

It's funny because it's true.

2.  Spotify.  Specifically Spotify Playlists.  I love making them, and I really love some of the ones Spotify has put together.  I've found lots of new artists that way.  But, did you know Spotify also has books on tape?  Here are some of my favs:

3.  I booked my reservations for my husband and I for a little weekend getaway back to the Upper Peninsula.  We're going to spend two nights in October back in the Keewenaw.  We're staying in the dinky little town of Kearsarge, at Vic's Cabins.  I absolutely cannot wait.  I love rustic little, mom and pop operations as long as they're clean, and these cabins have gotten really good reviews.  I think my husband could wait (he's not big on rustic), but he's being a good sport about it for the most part. 

(Red dot marks Kearsarge.)  But seriously, I am soooo excited about going back in the fall!  Hopefully there will still be leaves on the trees.  Beautiful colored leaves!

4.  Family Reunions.  My dad's side of the family gets together for pretty much only weddings and funerals with the exception of once a year, Labor Day weekend, when we all try to get together at my aunt and uncle's lake home and catch up.  It's nice.  There's tons of food.  Seriously, I've never seen so many creamy pasta salads in one place.  There's pontoon rides.  And there's lots of laughing.

5.  I love Quilty Magazine, and this Summer of Love quilt pattern makes me want to start yet another project, but I'm thinking I should finish some of my other WIPs before making more.
